Gathering of Geeks S02E04: Crimson Sun

Gathering of Geeks’ casual second season mosies onward! Thanks for following along!

Back when Gathering of Geeks was running monthly, I had (and still have) a list of potential special geeks to pull from. Miikka Hujanen of Crimson Sun has been on the guest list for quite some time, serving as my emergency guest in case someone else had to cancel on me last-minute. However, I’ve stopped running monthly, so keeping him as a reserve stopped being necessary. However, Crimson Sun have just released a new album on September 20th, “Sorrowbreaker,” it seemed like the ideal time to gather up!

This episode keeps it geeky by starting on the subject of Dungeons ‘n’ Dragons and other TTRPGs (like Mörk Borg and The Witch Is Dead), but moves on to fantasy series and video games, including Steven Erikson’s Malazan Book of the Fallen series, House of the Dragon, and Disco Elysium, and the various media from the Witcher series. 

Crimson Sun’s album release party will be at On the Rocks in Helsinki on October 3rd, 2024, with previous GoG special geeks Nestruction as the warm-up act!
