Voice Acting Portfolio

In 2024, I participated in a challenge lab for Luova Lämpiö (Aalto Artpreneurship) and my proposal to make a short animated video for Arivin was selected to move forward. The company was looking to explain the dangers of antimicrobial resistance more easily to the layman, while simultaneously sprucing up their image. My role was both scriptwriting (that medical background certainly came in handy) and voice acting. The original draft had voices for the Captain and Weapons Officer too, but they were cut to make it more directly informative.

During the writing of “The Rise of Starlit Fires,” I was approached by Force Majeure, who were looking for a native English speaker to provide the voice of the Child in a song called “The Darkening.” Since I had never done any voice acting before, I took on the project without knowing much about it. The song turned out to be (obviously) the darkest on the album and my personal favorite, despite not hearing the song itself until the album was released. It took us fewer than ten takes to get what the band needed and I hope to have more opportunities to do this kind of work in the future!
